Greetings Plato Academy Seminole Families!

I would like to formally introduce myself as your new Principal of Plato Academy Seminole. Most of us know each other from previous school years, and it is with great excitement and anticipation that I look forward to continue building enduring relationships with our Seminole community.

I have been with Plato Academy Seminole since its beginning in 2011 as one of the founding teachers. Throughout the years, our campus has successfully grown from a PreK-3 to a FL DOE designated “High Performing” “A”-Rated PreK-8 charter school. Plato Academy Seminole was in the top 15 in all of Pinellas County’s 125 schools last year.  We have built a strong community of students, families, and teachers, and together we will continue to grow as a strong community united in support of ensuring every student’s academic, social, and emotional growth.

On a personal note, I have been a classroom teacher for many years, specifically elementary education, with specialization in ESE (Exceptional Student Education). During the last school year, I proudly served in the capacity of Assistant Principal and had the special privilege of getting to know so many more wonderful students and families. Previous to teaching, I was a bank manager for a national financial institution. I have been married 22 years and am a proud mother of four happy, caring, and successful boys, ranging in ages from 9 to 21 years old. My two oldest attend college at USF and my two youngest are Plato Academy Seminole students. As you can tell, I believe in this school and want it to become better and better every year.

I am honored to be a part of Plato Academy Seminole, and to lead our campus to new heights of unity, success, and achievement. Please know that I am always available to assist in any way and welcome your questions and concerns. Together, we will continue to grow Plato Academy Seminole as the amazing campus it is. We have an exciting year ahead.  Please be on the lookout for more communications from me this summer and throughout the school year.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!
